An ode to our PLN

Let's give each other grace when times are tough

Let's be careful with what we repeat

Let's have good intentions

Let's believe others have good intentions

Let's celebrate the wins and be a shoulder to cry on in our losses

Let's take a breath before we email or speak

Let's practice empathy

Let's demonstrate kindness

Let's keep negative comments to ourselves

Let's congratulate instead of compete

Let's be supportive and encouraging

Let's put students first, which will define our choices

Let's listen with our hearts and not offer judgement

Let's take care of each other because together we are stronger

Let's give each other a break

Let's be good to one another

Teaching is the hardest job you will ever love.

Between meeting grading deadlines, answering parent concerns, supporting difficult students, it is all-consuming work. These problems are compounded when we don't have a network, a positive culture that is surrounding us. Let's remember we are all struggling and we need to support each other in times of need. To my teacher friend who suffered a great loss. This post is dedicated to you.
